COME EXPERIENCE A WELCOMING, MODERN SERVICE THAT WILL LEAVE YOU FEELING LIKE YOU CAN FACE THE FUTURE WITH CONFIDENCE, KNOWING THAT GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE.
IT'S A COMMUNITY–WIDE EASTER SERVICE DESIGNED FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!
10 am - april 1, 2018
Putnam Middle School Auditorium
35 Wicker Street, Putnam, CT 06260
A COMMUNITY SPACE
Green Valley Crossing's EASTER IN PUTNAM will be held in the auditorium at Putnam Middle School.
The move to the PMS auditorium will afford us the opportunity to have even more seats, a bigger hospitality area, room for kids to be kids, and a bigger stage that allows us to stretch our creativity muscles.
Plus, there's tons of parking!
FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Easter in Putnam is a family–integrated service, which means your kids will stay with you. While we normally have special kids' environments at church, we believe that Easter should be a formative time for your little ones. That includes being able to worship as a family. But, don't worry, we've got you in mind! The sermon will be abbreviated, and there will be free kids' activity packs available in the lobby when you arrive.
AS YOU ARE
Regardless of your religious background, our Easter service is designed with the community in mind. Some folks might not want to go to church on a regular basis, but they still want to celebrate Easter. We hear you loud and clear, and we invite you to come worship with us on April 1. It's a service where ANYONE can come experience the story of Jesus. EVERYONE is welcome. And yes, that means you. As broken or as put-together as you might be, you are welcome to worship with us. No shame or condemnation awaits you here, because we're all in need of Jesus in our own way. We promise that you'll understand what's happening, and you'll walk away challenged in faith and encouraged in life!
We would love to answer any questions that you might have!

WHAT TO EXPECT
DRESS CODE: Don't worry about dressing fancy (unless you want to). Our dress code is as follows: wear clothes.
PARKING: Directional signs and volunteers in safety vests will help you navigate in all designated parking areas.
REFRESHMENTS: Free coffee and pastries will be available before and after the service, but we're not able to enjoy them inside the auditorium. The doors to the lobby will be open at 9 am, and the doors to the auditorium will open at 9:45 am.
FAMILY PHOTO BOOTH: A plain white photo backdrop will be available for your family to take an Easter photo together. Bring your camera and let one of our volunteers capture your beautiful smiles. Of course, you can always grab your phone and get social!
KIDS' ACTIVITIES: We're providing a free bag of awesomeness for your children! Make sure to find our kids' ministry team at their table in the lobby prior to the service to collect your fun pack.
WORSHIP MUSIC: Come expecting to sing. In the week before Easter, check out our church's facebook page to find our set list so that you can get to know the songs. We usually have drums, guitars, keys, vocals, and a good bit of energy.
SERMON: Pastor Riley will be beginning a new sermon series called "Sand Castles." When it comes to choosing a foundation to build your life upon, there are a lot of options. We'll be looking at why the resurrection of Jesus was a game changer when it comes to your life's foundation.
That's it! You're up to speed on everything that you can expect from our Easter service.
Just like any event, seating is limited, so tickets will be required just like last year. You can pick them up between now and March 28th during any regular service at GVC, or you can have them mailed to you by completing this form:
